Description |
A coach trip to The Lighthouse Theatre in Poole for the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra performing Organ Symphonies by Saint-Saëns, Tchaikovsky and Boulanger. This is a joint trip with Shaftesbury and Gillingham U3A and tickets will cost £39.90 per person which includes the coach and theatre ticket. The order for tickets needs to go in by the 3rd March so please register your interest before then and I'll send you the details on making payment. |

Description |
A Tale of Wool and Waywardness. This immersive walking tour explores the Georgian history of Bradford on Avon, starting and ending at The Hall Estate. It includes access to the estate, a guided tour, and a complimentary booklet. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and is adult-only. The price is £18 per person and the tour starts at 11:00 am. |

| Guided Tour of John Boyd Textiles factory

Description |
John Boyd Textiles have been weaving fabric from horsehair in Castle Cary since 1837 and established this purpose built factory in 1851. The tour lasts approximately one hour and will show the manufacturing process using original looms and other Victorian equipment that is still in use today. The tour is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems as there are lots of stairs. The cost is £10 per person. Timing on the day will be confirmed once we have the numbers attending. |
